Lets Play Final Fantasy: Ep.10 “The Mermaids Treasure & Release The Kraken”

Last time on Lets Play Final Fantasy we delved into the far reaches of the Sea Shrine.

We began our journey battling our way to the upper levels where we came upon beautiful Mermaids who gave us information on the Krakens whereabouts. We then searched through the treasures uncovering the Slab which could be taken to a translator so we could learn the lost language of Leifiendish.

Our target location revealed, we head downwards. After waves and waves of monsters we finally reached the Fiend of Water. Electrifying it out of existence we won and stepped onto the altar, relighting the orb.

We left the Sea Shrine and Gaia behind us and flew to Melmond where Dr. Unne could translate the Slab for us. With it learned we could speak to the Leifiens and discover the location of the final Fiend.

Delving into the depth of the Sea Shrine we come to rid the waters from the Fiend of Water, Kraken.

Scouring the upper levels of the Sea Shrine searching for treasure we find Mermaids and a Slab which will allow us to learn a new language. But who can translate it for us?

Lets Play Final Fantasy: Ep. 9.1 “The Fairies Gift” (Recap)

Last time on Lets Play Final Fantasy, we learned that we required something called an Oxyale, which was held by a fairy in Ocran. We also learned that that same fairy had been captured by a pirate and sold to a caravan merchant in the desert to the west of Ocran.

After scouring the desert for what seemed like ages we finally found the merchant in a small patch of sand at the northern point of the desert. Landing our airship nearby we walked over and found the Fairy was bottled and was being sold for an astounding 50,000G! Considering we had more than 300,000G we brushed it off and bought her.

We then released her and without so much as a thank you she flew off back we assume to Gaia.

We took a seperate journey to the waterfall to the north-west of Ocran to obtain a secondary relic called the Cube which would allow us to enter the Floating Castle where the Fiend of Wind resides.

After taking the Cube we “exit” and flew to Gaia where we spoke to the Fairy. She finally thanked us and gave the Oxyale as our reward.

Finally, we were ready to enter the Sunken Shrine and eliminate the Fiend of Water, Kraken.
